About me

” I create, therefore I exist…”

Hello, I am Athena,

a passionate photographer, a stylist, a recipe developer, a story-teller…

I like to tell my stories through my images, my blog and by 2017 through my first cook book. Although, I have studied Interior design & commercial art in London at the American college and I have created plenty of dreamy spaces and layouts my passion for creation took me the paths of photography, especially food photography, the endless world of food styling and the naturally gifted habit of recipe development.

As a food photographer I have managed, by only participating twice, to be a semi finalist and in the highly commented gallery of the world’s most acclaimed and recognisable food photography competition, the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year 2017 at the category BBC GOOD FOOD FRESH TALENT AWARDS.

“Thank you all for making my dream a reality! THANK YOU, BBC WORLD & BBC GOOD FOOD  for the unique interview and the most amazing moment of my career & thank you, PINK LADY FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION 2017 for being a semi finalist! ” Athena

As a recipe developer I am in the process of creating my first cookbook | MERAKI | Cook it with passion | a 300 pages feast and 120 recipes to some unique yet traditional and renowned recipes from the Mediterranean and recipes that arisen from the endless hours I have spent in my kitchen, cooked with passion and presented with love.

Along all the above I have been behind the well-known food blog olivedip.com and now behind this blog,  cinnamon spice and everything nice, where I share my love and passion about food and recipes with you and I showcase my immense adoration for the art behind crafting incredible food plates and unique food styling.

The truth is that I am a wrestles spirit and I need to create daily, weekly and with every chance given or every chance created. When I am not in my kitchen, I spend my free days exploring my beautiful city behind a camera discovering street photography, beautiful food blogs, new cultures or interesting cookbooks and through doing this I am inspiring to create new plates, new photos and new stories.

Alongside my creations, my cookbook, my photography and competitions I squeeze in my routine, some very unique and special customers where I get to have the freedom of creativity and a chemistry that leads to ongoing relationships and why not friendships!

This is of course only by choice but in case you believe we have things in common, you like my work or you want to outstanding from the crowd, then don’t hesitate to contact me at any moment!
